| Efinity is the next
generation of Lift
Control System, moving
away from just being a
lift controller. It has
been designed to be an
extension to the lift
engineer’s toolkit,
making it straightforward
to fault-find and
diagnose problems
efficiently. The system
utilises powerful micro
processors with the
capability of processing
40 million instructions
per second (40 mips)
with expansion to 60
mips in the future. We have also incorporated a USB
computer interface and network connectivity. |

The efinity processor is a serialbased
call control unit utilising
a CAN-based communication
system. The micro processor
interfaces with landing
communication modules
and the car communication
control unit in order to
process calls and inputs from the lift system. |

| Efinity utilises a large
screen and provides
information in a clear
and precise manner
making the system of
menus and diagnostic
screens appear familiar
to engineers, even if they have never used Efinity
before. Fault reporting and all other menus use plain
English (or other language
if required), incorporating
recognised Lift terminology.
The key pad’s design is
similar to devices used
every day in the home. The
system proves DLC’s
commitment to simplifying
a complex piece of
equipment while improving
a systems user-friendliness. |
