LOAD WEIGHING UNIT (LIFT OVERLOAD)

 Load Weighing Unit
 
Housed in a mild steel enclosure, finished in white, the Load Weighing Unit utilises a transducer placed on the bottom or top of the sling to measure the differential movement of the car depending on load. This unit requires a car to be isolated from the sling via rubber mounts i.e. “cushy feet”. The unit utilises microprocessor technology to measure and record loads providing a “drift” free environment. The unit has three outputs, Overload, 90% (Bypass) and LS (Load sense), all of which can be set via dip switches on the unit to the required load. There is also an additional volt-free contact to allow the connection of a buzzer/lamp without modification in the controller for the overloaded condition.

Housed in a mild steel enclosure, finished in white, these are linear type power supplies that will float charge a 6, 12 or 24 Volt lead acid battery and deliver up to a maximum of 1 Amp at 12 Volts DC to an external load. The design complies with all aspects of the following BSI standards: BS EN 60335-2-29: 1991 Battery Chargers.

HANDWINDING UNIT

Housed in a mild steel enclosure, finished in white, the DHWP will display the relative position of the car in the lift shaft in conjunction with the floor level and reset proximities. The display is a backlit LCD which clearly displays the position along with helpful information such as ‘Lift Above Top Floor’, ‘Lift Below Bottom Floor’, ‘Lift Approaching Floor’, ‘Lift Departing Floor’, ‘Lift Between’ and ‘Lift At Floor Level’. The unit includes a large LED and buzzer to indicate when the lift is at floor level and flashes and sounds intermittently when the lift is approaching the floor. The unit will continue to operate under a mains failure condition using the built-in back-up battery supply. The battery is trickle charged by a built-in charger unit and includes 12V output terminals to facilitate emergency supply requirements.

Housed in a mild steel enclosure, finished in white, the DHW12 will, in conjunction with the necessary detection equipment, indicate when a lift car has reached floor level. The indication is by both an audible sounder, and a visual indicator. The unit will continue to operate under a mains failure situation, using the back-up battery supply, which is trickle charged by a built in charger unit. The detection unit has an output of 12 volts and can be operated using mechanical or magnetic proximity switches, or any other suitable switching device.
